Imaam and Khateeb of the Prophet’s Mosque

All praise is due to Allaah. Blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allaah, his household, his companions and all those who righteously follow their path till the Day of Reckoning.

Islaam is the religion of prosperity and security. Allaah ordered it to be spread to all parts of the world so that the life of Arabs and non-Arabs may be illuminated by it. Allaah also ordered that all nations should be invited into this religion. For any religion besides it will be rejected. Allaah says, “And whoever desires other than Islaam as religion- never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.” (Aal ‘Imraan 3:85)

Since the time of the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, guiding people to the way of Allaah have been through different means like despatching propagators, giving admonitions, making correspondence, delivering sermons and sending out messages.

In this age however, delivering messages to the farthest corners of the earth has become very easy within a relatively short period that was impossible in olden days.

In Islaam, Muslims gather in their weekly celebration when they learn the teachings of their religion and its commandments in form of a uniquely arranged sermon, which is succinct, full of meanings and impressive.

Sermons that are delivered in the two Sacred Mosques have a place in the hearts of the Muslims. The Arabs Muslims enjoy their wordings and the non-Arabs listen to their cadences while their hearts fervently wish to understand their meanings.

Muslims all over the world are brethren though they may be far from one another. It is therefore, in order to foster love among them and satiate their thirst that we present to them in world languages, sermons that are delivered on the pulpits of the two Sacred Mosques every Friday, so that each Muslim may understand their meanings of these sermons and act upon them.

We beseech Allaah to unite the ranks of the Muslims on the truth. For He is the One Who is Capable of doing that. May Allaah bestow blessings and peace upon Muhammad, his household and companions.

Importance of Marriage and its Etiquettes

Shaykh Saalih Aal Taalib

2, Jumaadal-Aakhirah 1426 (8, July 2005)

All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! The most truthful speech is the Book of Allaah and the best guidance is that of Muhammad. Every innovation is misguidance and every misguidance leads to Hell.

Fear Allaah and know that tomorrow, you will be made to stand in front of your Lord and be recompensed for your deeds.

“O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife (Hawwâ (Eve)) and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allâh through Whom you demand (your mutual rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allâh is Ever an All-Watcher over you.”

(An-Nisaa 4:1)

Fellow Muslims! Fear your Lord Who knows all that is hidden, and Sufficient is He, concerning the sins of His servants, as Acquainting and Seeing. Allaah says,

“O you who believe! Fear Allâh (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. (Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always), and die not except in a state of Islâm (as Muslims (with complete submission to Allâh)).”

Fellow Muslims! The summer season have benefits. He who makes good use of this season has benefited himself and his society; but he who wastes the summer hours has harmed himself and his society.

Blessing in Proper Organisation of Time

Shaykh Saalih ibn Humayd

10, Jumaadal-Ulaa 1426 (17 June, 2005)

All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! Fear Allaah as He should be feared that He may have mercy on you. This world is not an abode of security. The one who is prepared to travel should have adequate provision and whoever has good intention and make use of appropriate means shall be helped by his Lord. If one realises the nobleness of what he wants he exerts all efforts to attain it. If the mind is made greedy it never becomes satisfied but if it is made to be contented with the little it will be satisfied. The sincere people are concerned with their salvation but the negligent ones shall regret when regret will be of no use.

All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! Fear Allaah as He should be feared and obey Him. That is better for you in this world and the Hereafter.

Dear Muslims! Know that Allaah has done mankind a great favour by sending Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, to them as a Messenger. Allaah says,

“We sent you not, but as a mercy for all creatures.”

Blocking the Ways to Evil

Shaykh Salaah Al-Budayr

3, Jumaadal-Ulaa 1426 (10, June 2005)

All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds.  Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! Fear Allaah from Whom nothing is hidden. Hidden things are to Him as clear as open things.

“He is with you (by His Knowledge) wherever you may be. And Allaah is the All-Seer of what you do.”

(Al-Hadeed 57:4)

Dear brethren! The religion of Islaam has principles. The Muslims’ safety from pitfalls depends on the level of their understanding of these principles and their safety from problems depends on how they abide by these principles.

All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds.  Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! Fear Allaah Whose knowledge and mercy encompass all things. Thank Him for the unseen and evident blessings He bestowed upon you. Remember that He has promised the grateful that He would give him more and promised the ingrate that He would punish him severely.

Dear brethren! Allaah endows His servants with many blessings as He says,

“And if you count the Blessings of Allaah, never will you be able to count them. Verily! Man is indeed an extreme wrong-doer, a disbeliever (an extreme ingrate).”

Islaamic Economy

Shaykh Saud Ash-Shuraym

26, Rabee‘uth-Thaanee 1426 (3, June 2005)

All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! Fear Allaah as He should be feared and be conscious of Him in private and public. Be dutiful to Him and follow up an evil deed with a good one it will erase it. Deal with people kindly. Allaah says,

“Verily, he who fears Allaah with obedience to Him (by abstaining from sins and evil deeds, and by performing righteous good deeds), and is patient, then surely, Allaah makes not the reward of the good-doers to be lost.”

(Yoosuf 12:90)

Dear brethren! Money is the blood vessel of material development in the life in this world, as Islaamic injunctions are the artery of spiritual and moral development. Naturally, money overwhelmingly dominates human mind. If the materially-overwhelmed mind is not controlled by injunctions of Allaah and contentedness, it can lead man into a state of poisonous madness and reprehensible avarice.

Dear brethren! Muslim woman attains prosperity by following the path of the best women who lived in the best generation and got nurtured in the house of Prophethood. They are women of high status and outstanding estimation. Allaah praises them in the Qur’aan where He says,
